Jessica, I think this is a good start, seems clear for the most part. I might suggest a few little notes to help clarify things such as aspects that would be seen or activated by the cusor, any sort of animations of transitions. Maybe a more clear note for imagery (where and what they will be). I'm wondering if each step has it's own image and then if your tidbits generate their own images. just some additional notes would help clarify some things and make this a more complete wireframe.
In response to your comment-Yeah I didn't get to explore other variations of navigation in as much detail and I definitely should. But I do think this level of detail (as far as notation) is what is needed for a wireframe. Yours are kindof the opposite of mine at this point, lots of exploration in navigation techniques, but maybe not enough detail on some of the individual directions.
Jessica, just to clarify your terminology (in the title of this post) these do not look to me like Wireframes due to the lack of content and tendency towards aesthetic elements (however basic they are). Rather, label the post something like sketches or early creative comps.
See the wireframes I posted on the blog for future reference as to what a wireframe is. We'll go into more detail of this later, but again to reiterate, wireframes are for understanding content and structure. WHAT exact content is found on the page and approximately where it resides on the page.
As far as early creative sketches go though, it looks like you are exploring various ways of displaying the navigation on the page. Start dealing with the actual content that is on these pages so your sketches will be more fruitful and explicit of your design direction (this is what we'll be critiquing on Wed).
